Cuddle up with Teddy Bear!

Teddy is an older basset, we think around 11 years old. He is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. He loves people and gets along with other dogs. He likes walks but at a slightly slower pace as he smells his way around the block. At his foster home he has designated himself as the squirrel alert dog and will bark at them if he feels they are invading his territory. He can be a vocal guy if he just wants to express his opinion about something. He is not into toys nor does he chew things up. Teddy does not need to be crated as he enjoys sleeping on his doggie bed or cuddling with his humans on the couch. (you have to put him on the couch he doesn't jump up) Teddy gets along well with other dogs and will even let them share his bed with him.

Teddy Bear is just a gentle, loving, basset looking for a forever home.

Meet Annabelle Lee!

Annabelle Lee was on the list to be put down the day a kind stranger pulled her from a South Texas shelter. Her stray hold was up and she had a large cyst on her hip which made her unadobtable in the shelter's eyes. The kind stranger called HHBR and we went to get her. We removed the cyst (it was non-cancerous), treated her heartworms and got her up to date on all her shots.

Annebelle Lee rides well in the car, is house trained with a doggie door, she will sit for a treat and likes to play with toys. Her most favorite thing is snuggling with someone in a chair, on the couch or on a bed. She does well with other dogs once she gets to know them. She is also good with cats. She has been around children of all ages but would probably do best with school age children as she can be quite rambunctious when she gets excited.

Annebelle is between 5 & 6 years old. Up to date on all her shots and on heartworm preventative.

Because she was lost and on the streets she has what we call separation anxiety. She would be best suited for someone who is home a lot or can take her with them to work. She does get anxious when left alone for long periods of time. She does not do well in a crate for an extended period. The ideal home would also have a doggy door and a yard for her as well as another dog to keep her company.

She is working on her leash manners and walking on a leash calmly, so someone that is willing to work with her on improving these skills would be ideal. She is anxious to please and to learn!

Annabelle Lee is not 100% basset but she will give you 110% of her heart . Come meet her at our next Meet n Greet or contact us to set up a private meeting.
