Adopt Me LinkPicture of Pebbles

This is Pebbles!

This is Pebbles! She has 3 New Year's Resolutions - Loose some weight, exercise more, and find a new loving home! If you need someone to walk with and diet with this is your girl! She is 5-6 years old, spayed, Heartworm Negative, house trained and walks well on a leash. She does pretty good in the car- whines some but eventually settles down for the ride. A stray from a Hill Country shelter she was obviously someone's pet but no one came for her. After two weeks the shelter manager was concerned that being in the shelter was causing Pebbles undo stress so she called HHBR to bail her out. Pebbles does well with other dogs and will play with them. She is curious about cats but just to sniff them not chase them. There is a lot of her to love but she has a lot of love to give - maybe to you?

This is Buttercup!

Buttercup came from a shelter where she was scheduled to be put down. She is ~6-8 years old and has plenty of life left in her. She's spay and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She weighs about 60 lbs.
Her foster family has this to say about her, "Buttercup is house trained and doesn't appear to jump onto furniture. She was a little slow to bond with other dogs; but did after about a week. She likes to play fetch -- although with her size and weight it is a slower game of fetch. She is very affectionate. She likes to sit at your feet and adore and be adored. She crate trained very quickly. She loves cheese. She has been a bit reserved at first, but she is warming to the whole household now."
Buttercup is looking for a family to love her and she has lots of love to give back.

Meet Suzie!

Suzie was one of the dogs that HHBR help rescue from the South Texas Breeder. She will be three in March and has been spay. She weighs 42 lbs. Suzie is very active and likes jumping up on items to get a better look at the world. Her foster mom sent us a picture of Suzie on the barbeque grill -- which was not in use at the time...LOL.
Suzie is doing well in her foster home with the other dogs, although she is a little jealous when the other dogs get attention. She is house trained with a doggy door.
Cute and adorable is her middle name

Adopt Me LinkPicture of Jack

Say hi to Jack!

Jack was surrendered by his family because they couldn't care for him anymore. He is a little timid at first, but warms up quickly. He is a puppy class obedience school graduate and is house and crate trained. Jack is a neutered male 16 month old and weighs a healthy 55 lbs. He is current on his vaccinations and tested negative for heartworms. He is very friendly with people and gets along with other dogs. Jack is looking for a family that will spend time with him -- going for walks or just running and playing in the backyard.

Adopt Me LinkPicture of Sophie

This is Sophie!

Sophie came from an area shelter along with another basset, Sammy. They were surrendered by their owner. She tested negative for heartworms and had a dental with 5 extractions. We think Sophie is between 4-6 years old and weighs 38 lbs.

Once she warms up to you, which doesn't take long, she's very friendly and would prefer to set next to you. Sophie prefers people to other dogs and would do best in a home without any other dogs. She can be quite the Diva. In Sophie's foster home, she has learned to walk on a leash and is house trained with a doggy door. She enjoys people of all ages and interacts well with children.

Sophie is such a gentle sweet soul looking for a home to call her own.
